Whittier Alaska

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a nonprofit organization that cares for injured or orphaned animals on a 144-acre drive-through wildlife center located off the Seward Highway at the Portage Glacier turnoff. Here you will see upclose the magistic moose, brown bear, bison, elk, caribou, Sitka black-tailed deer, musk ox, great horned owls, and a bald eagle that for now call the center home.

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a safe and accessable place to view take photos of these animals while supporting their care and wellbeing at the same time.
