These government campgrounds are located on Portage Glacier Road leading to the Whittier Tunnel from the Turnagain Arm Site.

From Anchorage go 60 miles south on Seward highway to Portage Glacier Road located at milepost 78.9 turn left and follow Portage Glacier Rd to the Whittier Tunnel. Pass through the tunnel to enter the town of Whittier and take the first right turn that will lead you to the campground.
